Dataknutte is the long-standing online alias of Jesper Bergman, a Swedish IT professional with over two decades of experience in computing and system administration.
Grown up outside Stockholm, Sweden, in Täby, in a family of four. The interest in electronics began at an early age — at four, extension cords were wished for as birthday presents. The first computer was the Commodore 64, where early programming, mostly in BASIC, sparked a lifelong interest in computers and software development.
During the late 1990s, custom-built computer programs were created and sold for real-world use. These included software for internet cafés, security and access blocking, and a library-style offline borrowing system.
In later years, the focus shifted toward professional IT operations, with extensive experience in Windows environments, infrastructure support, and system integrations, including solutions for schools and other organizations.
Alongside technology, music has always been an important part of life. As a child, Jesper attended Täby Musikklasser and sang in choir, developing a strong appreciation for music, collaboration, and creative expression that continues to this day.
The name “Dataknutte” is a playful Swedish term, roughly meaning computer geek — a fitting description of a career built on curiosity, problem-solving, and hands-on technology.
